This show was interesting because although it was only one show, it was a double billed opera! Because of this, I was working with 2 Lighting Designer and 2 Stage Managers, but only one light plot. Because of this, we had to be very careful and meticulous with the purpose of every single light
The show didn't have any set electrics, however the rig we had for that show was the biggest rig we have had in our proscenium theatre in the past couple of years, something that I was really eager to sink my teeth into this plot. Power distribution was really fun to figure out, due to the mix of conventional fixtures, moving lights, and LED pars. Data was also a fun puzzle to figure out, due to the mix of 4 and 5 pin DMX fixtures within the plot, and how to properly run the data accordingly.
