Bellwether

Bellwether was the first show I Lighting Designed in my collegiate career, and I learned so much throughout this process. I had been ALD many times prior to this, however this being my first collegiate design, there was a lot of firsts for me. This being a black box show in thrust formation, the stage was very helpful in learning how to plot lights and know where to best focus them was an incredibly big one for me. Other than my mentor, I was a one man lighting team for this show, so practically all of the lighting show duties for this show fell to me.

The biggest trial by fire for me concerning this show was learning how to operate & program on an ETC Express. This was incredibly challenging for me due to the fact I had hardly any time to play with the console prior to the focus call, due to the calendar and the influx of shows going on at my school at this point. Learning a whole new console and program during tech week was stressful sure, but it proved to me that I am capable of doing something as difficult as this.
